Steven Forrest Astrology Apprenticeship Program
November 7-10, 2019
TAKING IN THE BIG PICTURE:
The Blue Sky Ranch community hosts this extraordinary astrology program at a conference center located in Alpine, California (east San Diego county.)
Join us for an intriguing four-day astrology intensive with world-renowned evolutionary astrologer, Steven Forrest, in his unique and intimate astrology apprenticeship program. Steven’s teaching style is a combination of lecture and discussion, utilizing the charts and experiences of class participants.
For those seeking professional astrology credentials, this class counts 4 credits towards Steven Forrest’s astrologer certification program.
The November 2019 program topic is Taking in the Big Picture: Chart Interpretation
Topic description from Steven Forrest:
“In our recent classes, we have been exploring astrological specifics: Jupiter and Saturn, for example, or the north node of the Moon. All of that is very specific, narrowly-focused material. Understanding it precisely and viscerally is the foundation of effective astrological practice. But, taken alone, such specific, detailed knowledge can be a dead-end. It is as if we have been looking at astrology through a microscope. It is time to try a telescope.
This November, we will learn to see the chart as a whole. Our first step in that direction will be methodological. We will look at a step-by-step strategy for chart analysis. Then we will go deeper, wresting with how we detect the thematic patterns that underlie a chart. How do they mesh – or clash in paradoxical complexity? How do we set interpretive priorities, determining which themes in the chart are dominant and cannot be ignored—and which ones must be sacrificed, given the realities of limited time with a client? In other words, how do we “put it all together?”
Steven anticipates that the first day will be spent offering an overview of chart interpretation strategy. After that, we will work with the charts of class members, going deeply – not only into the understanding of the charts – but into how we get to that understanding and how we go about presenting it in a helpful, comprehensible way to a non-professional.”
