Airport Information: The closest airport is the San Diego Lindbergh Field International Airport (SAN) which is about a 45 minute drive to Alpine.
Airport Shuttle: The Ayres Lodge in Alpine does not offer airport shuttle service. However, Blue Sky Ranch offers shuttle arrangements including airport pickup on the Wednesday before the workshop begins, and returning back to the airport on Sunday immediately after the program ends. The cost is $75 for the round-trip shuttle service. (Note: Shuttle service must be scheduled in advance and flight arrival and departure times must meet certain requirements. Information will be provided during pre-registration.)
Other commercial shuttle services are available, but the cost may be significantly higher.
Car Rental: Most leading car rental companies can be found near the San Diego Airport (SAN), with convenient shuttle service to and from their lots.
Do you need to have a car? Although many participants do choose to drive or rent a car, it is not required. If you fly into San Diego, take the Blue Sky Ranch Shuttle to and from the hotel, and either walk or share rides with others to the meeting space, you will not need a vehicle. The hotel is located near many convenient shops and restaurants, and is within walking distance (one mile) from the program meeting space.
